I love Studio M! The owner is a Master Stylist and does incredible work with cuts and color! Not only is she super skilled, but she takes great pride in teaching and training her junior stylists so they can also produce super happy clients! Everyone at Studio M does wonderful work and you can feel great scheduling with anyone there...although Margaret is MY favorite!

Horrible cut and color and refusal by salon to make it right. Meanwhile, while my stylist was doing this horrible job on my hair all she did was gossip about the client she did just before me, criticizing both husband and wife grossly. When I complained about the cut and color on check-out I was told that I should have complained when the stylist was still there. Why would I want her to touch me again after that hack job? It cost me hundreds of dollars and the salon wouldn't budge on cost, and then I had to go to another salon on the same day to have both color and cut fixed. Horrible place. I really think the positive reviews are from the owner and stylists.

Love Margaret's salon and all of her stylists and colorist! Such a gorgeous salon. It's always very zen in there. It's like a nice escape when I go to get my color and cut. (There are almost never any kids there.) Margaret and here team are super professional and so fun to work with. I look forward to my appointment each month to go catch up with everyone, leave looking beautiful and get a little relaxation while I am there. Their prices are very fair and their level of education and professionalism are amazing. I like how it feels like all of the stylists actually really like each other and really enjoy working with each other. It feels like family there. I love it. I have had a blow out from lots of the stylists, there, too. And, it's always very consistent. Great team!

SOO many things wrong with this place, not sure where to begin. If the stylists aren't gossiping about customers who JUST left the salon, they are doing shotty work. Appointments are mis-scheduled, cancelled and the management needs to do some SERIOUS restructuring. On top of that, they are charging Palo Alto prices for a small hair place just off a side street in South San Jose, across from a Bank of America. There are so many good salons that it is not necessary to settle. Do yourself a favor: save your money, your time and your stress and SKIP STUDIO M!
