My daughter is a student at Adda Clevenger and based on her academic development and happiness I know we made a great choice. I highly recommend the school for any parent that values developing all aspects of their child.

Speaking from a distance of 25+ years, I can't urge you strongly enough to send your child/children to AC should you get the opportunity. I had two children at AC and can tell you that at 30-something they both remember their years there with great fondness. Although we live on the east coast they are still in touch with many of their classmates, most of whom are highly successful adults. Not specifically in an economic sense, but all seem to be happy, creative, and productive. Back in the early 80's when looking for a school, one of my daughters Montessori teachers told me about AC. I remember exactly what it was like walking into AC the first time. There were children everywhere, in small groups, sitting on steps, talking to teachers and each other. There was a level of "noise" that instead of sounding unruly or annoying, was the noise of excitement, of giggling, happy kids. My children were exposed to live theater, tide pools, hiking in the redwoods, tap dancing, singing in nursing homes, being in a Rick Springfield music video, ballet, wonderful sleepovers where everyone got to cook, all the museums in GG Park, the zoo, Santa Cruz, ad nauseam LOL Along with all this they learned math, creative writing, science, Latin, literature, geography, civics, and more importantly; compassion, empathy, concern for their fellow humans, loyalty, fair play, how to lead and how to share. They would often come home with rips in their overalls, dirty faces, skinned knees, and grins from ear to ear, talking about what was happening tomorrow. When my daughter graduated, with the starring role in Pirates of Penzance, she cried long and hard that she had to go on to High School. But on she went and then to college and then traveling all over the world fueled by the confidence and wonderful "sense of self" that began at AC. She is now the mother of two beautiful little boys and just the other day was saying she wished they lived in San Francisco so they could go to AC. Her brother agrees:) Thank you Carol Harrison et al for adding so much to my children's lives, they have never forgotten any of you. Anthonie Edwards Mom to Heather and Tony

Dear All Future Adda Students/Parents, I have attended Adda Clevenger since I was 3 and a half years old and can honestly tell you this is one of the best schools you will ever find. 10 years of my life I have seen Adda as my home and I always will. It is because of the great friends I have made, and the amazing teachers I have learned from, that made my Adda experience one to remember. Not only are we students able to get superior academic work done, but we also have a theatre, ballet, and choir program that only enhances our overall knowledge, and prepares us for society. More than 3/4 of last year’s graduating class got into TOP private high schools in the area, half of whom got scholarships. My mother once said to me, “Do you know why we are willing to pay for your attending Adda Clevenger each year?” I said I did not know. She told me, “seeing you come home from school every day, seeing that you want to go to school every day, that is where we get our money’s worth.” Our school staff is so intimately connected with each individual student, and so deeply concerned for the welfare of every pupil. The reason for this is that, unlike other schools, Adda Clevenger is a small, therefore allowing each class to really get to know their peers. My class currently has 12 people, and every single one of them has seen me grow, and every one of them seem like my brothers and sisters. We have grown up together, learned together, and thrived together. I wish all the best to you and your families in making this exciting decision, and to the Adda Clevenger School and Staff. Best Wishes, Helen Class of 2010
