Becoming part of the Montessori school community has been the best decision I have made as a parent. This beautiful, rich, nurturing environment is providing my daughter with an amazing foundation—academically, socially, emotionally, and practically. All it takes is one visit to the school to appreciate what the school has to offer. As I carefully explored preschool options for my soon-to-be three year old, I was completely sold after my visit to the primary classrooms at the Montessori School. There they were, 30 children between the ages of 3 and 6, working peacefully, respectfully, and quietly. It was incredible! They took their activity seriously and were happily engaged in work that seemed incredibly challenging for their young years…writing, reading, counting, adding, classifying, problem solving, baking and preparing their own snacks, assisting other children. I was amazed and couldn’t wait to enroll my daughter. The commitment to developing resourceful, responsible, and respectful children is reflected in every aspect of the school. We are particularly grateful for Judy Hill and Mehry Houshyar, two of the many amazing staff at the Montessori School. Their passion and devotion to the children is beyond compare. Each day I drop my daughter off at school, my heart is full. I know her day will be filled with learning and joy. When I asked my now four year old why parents should send their children to the Montessori School, she emphatically said, “Because it’s great there! You learn so many things. And all the children in our class are so lucky because Judy is such a good teacher to us. She welcomes us and loves and cares for us every day.” What better testimonial is there than that? My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to attend the Montessori School myself.
