I do not understand the previous reviewers that say the school is bad. I think some reviewers may be slandering here :(. PCS is a really great school and that is why I send my two kids to PCS. My wife also volunteers as a coach for after school sports programs so we are very connected and familiar with the school and staff. My kids are receiving a great Education at this school and the enrollment prices are very reasonable. The kids get quality education, great care from dedicated teachers and the class size is small. Best of all is the environment in this school - this is a Christian school and as expected there is some strictness and rules - which is not necessarily a bad thing. If one were to compare the level of education kids are getting in this school in the areas of Math, English, Arts, Science etc. I think the students at PCS on average - display greater proficiency in learning compared to many private, charter, and Public Schools in the area. If one becomes familiar with this school, they will quickly discover that the teachers here care about kids and they love what they do because its also a mission field not only a job. This shows in the school spirit and behavior of PCS students as well as general education quality. I think I said enough...

What can I say. The faculty are incompetent and hypocrites!!! The principal is prejudiced against the boys and puts girls on a pedestal. Girls can hit guys and not get in trouble but if the guy even defends himself he will be suspended. DON"T send your child here. Your money would be more useful in the trash can!!!!!

I can assure you as Principle here that if you send your children here, they will be treated as poorly as possible!

Parsippany Christian School is not a good school. The faculty is ridiculously sexist. A boy will break the same rule that a girl did, but only the boy will get in trouble. The rules are much, much stricter for the boys. In school suspensions are a common sight at PCS. They give them out like they are nothing. The head of discipline is extremely sexist towards boys, and he doesn't seem to care for the children. Kids who goof around are considered just as bad as the children who lie, steal, and do other bad things. Once a bad reputation has been acquired, it is nearly impossible to get rid of it. Although some of the teachers are bad, there are a couple good ones. One of the good ones is the middle school English teacher. She is one of the best teachers out there and she genuinely cares for and understands the kids. That's hard to come by at PCS. Another one is the high school English teacher. He is one of those people that actually enjoys what he's doing, and it is evident in his patience, kindness, and love for the kids he teaches. As a summary, PCS is just too strict. They have too many unreasonable and unnecessary rules, like the short military-like haircut that boys are required to have. Another is the rule that boys are required to wear all black sneakers, but the girls can wear blue, tan, and white Uggs and sneakers because they're "school colors". Boys are allowed only one bracelet so as "to be easily distinguishable from girls". PCS is a decent elementary school, however. If you are looking for a private school for your elementary-aged child, then PCS would be a viable option. PCS has good intentions, but they just can't come through with their objectives. The way they run it has a tendency to actually turn the kids away from God because the kid will begin to associate Christianity with the strictness and unfairness found at PCS. In the interest of your child's happiness, I would not advise sending your child to this school. Although it may seem like a cheap alternative to public school, it may not be the best option.

Both my children graduated from this school several years ago, and both believe they received an educational foundation superior to that which their peers received in public school. The teachers in this school are the school's "gold mine". Their love for their students Is evident and their willingness to go the extra mile for any student who is struggling is inspiring. Graduates of Parsippany Christian School successfully go on to major universities, as well as small Bible colleges. The school does maintain strict standards of behavior, and as such, is not for everyone. If you are looking for a good alternative to the humanistic philosophy taught in public schools, and you are interested in having your children learn moral values, exercise good judgement, and learn what it means to please God, this school may be for you.
