I was not ready emotionally to put my almost 3 years old son in a school. My son and I came to creative children's center to check it out as a potential school for the following year. My son instantly loved the classroom set up and fit right in. Teacher Lucy observed that and recommended we do a full day observation to see if it is the right fit. My son and I fell in love with the implied philosophy of the school and the knowledgeable, helpful and caring staff and ended up signing him up right away. We have been here for 2 years and have recommended the school to other friends who have done and loved the creative summer camps. I absolutely recommend the school to everyone who wants a school that encourages learning through play, imagination, diversity, outdoors play and independence.

I can't say enough good things about CCC. Both of my children are absolutely thriving here - the teachers set up the classes to encourage exploration through a variety of media ("languages" in Reggio-speak), and each child can progress at his/her own pace. Although the learning is individualized, emphasis is placed on the community, with groups of children working together to solve problems, create art, etc. My children can't seem to get enough! They're both learning more/faster than we expected, but also becoming more confident, independent, and compassionate. Regarding parental commitments...it's a co-op, so yes, it can be a lot of work. But I believe that we reap what we sow, and so far every second of my time spent as part of the CCC community has been valuable. This school is definitely worth a look!

As a teacher at this school, I can safely say I have never been in a more inspiring and supportive environment. Although I have taught in other Reggio and constructivist schools, I have never been so supported and encouraged to expand upon my professional development as a teacher. As a constructivist and Reggio inspired teacher , I am completely comfortable saying that the commitment to the philosophy at this school is unparalleled. I love the way we teach and I love the independence that emerges from the children. Our kids become confident, independent learners- capable of expanding and provoking their own learning and curiosities. I love the way we teach and I love what we learn from the kids. I definitely feel inspired working here.

We love Creative Children's Center! The teaching staff are truly amazing. They work to find the passions and interests of all their students, and then manage to incorporate them into a meaningful curriculum. They encourage even their youngest students to work together and support one another in exploration and problem solving. As a parent, I have learned so much by being a part of this community. I was a little nervous about helping in the classroom, but it is actually a lot of fun and a great way to get to know the other kids and parents. I couldn't imagine a better place for my children and my family!

CCC is much more than "just a preschool". It is a community of teachers and parents that highly value an enriching educational experience for each and every child who attends. They explore materials and incorporate experiences you will not find elsewhere. By having the opportunity to participate as a Parent Helper in the classroom as well as contribute my time and skills through a support job and events, I have been a part of my daughters school experience in a way traditional environments cant match. If you want a school where you just drop your kid off and get a report card a few times a year, this is not the school for you. On the other hand, if you care deeply about the education your child receives, and want to give a lasting impression that learning is fun and worthwhile, take a tour during school hours. The school, and the children, speak for themselves.
