I started taking Longsword classes with Coach Paul about five years ago and he's patiently taken me from an uncoordinated teenager with no martial arts background to a competent fencer with the confidence to fight in open tournaments. Paul frequently references the manuscripts from which the techniques are coming and the instruction addresses both the historical reality and what is practical in the modern tournament setting. Drills generally start simple enough for a beginner to grasp, then progress until the more advanced students are practicing close to freeplay. Classes are conducted with competitive value and good humor. The other students are friendly and respectful, quick to laugh, and quicker to lend a hand.

We have been attending the longsword and Spadone classes for years. Excellent instruction. Coach Paul keeps the classes fresh and fun.

Great exercise, clean facility, wonderful atmosphere, and knowledgeable coaching. I mostly do HEMA Longsword here (little bit of sidesword and MMA) and whether you're a total beginner or an experienced sword fighter you'll fit right in. If you're interested in jumping RIGHT into learning actual, legitimate sword arts (and putting them into practice against your teammates), this is the place to be. You will have a sword in your hand on your first day. They offer a complete, full free week to anyone who wants to try things out so make the most of it.

I have been training in Martial Arts as well as other sports for over 2 decades and I always keep learning new things while attending the Tosetti Institute of MMA and Fitness. Whether it's fitness classes or martial arts classes, you always learn new and fun techniques and exercises. All of the instructors try to keep the classes interesting and find time to learn what each student wants to learn or gain from attending the Tosetti Institute. Another big shining point is that there isn't a big air of intimidation when you enter the studio. Everyone is there to have a good time and most will chat it up with you between or after classes. Another good point about the Institute is that they have a huge selection of classes. Some info on the classes: They have fitness classes for all those who want to jump into group classes which work the entire body. There are mixed martial arts, grappling, takedowns, and striking classes available that involve honing techniques as well as sparring with classmates. There is western martial arts which is weapon martial arts such as German long swords, sideswords, daggers, shields, halberds, spears, and more. If you want a great place to workout with no pressure and a positive atmosphere, this is an awesome choice. If you want to take your martial arts training to the next level, this is an awesome choice. I hope to see you on the mat one day!
