It's not always easy for a 40 year old man to find common ground with hid 12 year old daughter. But, a year after my daughter started classes at Sunnyside, I signed up too. It's a fantastic place to learn and exercise. It's hard to explain how someplace can be both competitive and supportive, but they pull it off! The Carters have built a comfortable, well appointed place where everyone is treated according to their own needs and level. I've seen Derrik push competition level teens to the edge of their abilities and I've seen him coax a kick out of a four year-old that was too shy to tell him his name. It's a truly fantastic place! Go watch a class if you're curious. Or check the web site for competition dates, it's great fun even if you're just a spectator!

My family and I went and visited more than 8 martial arts facilities around Clovis and we were so lucky to have found Sunnyside! Our son has finally found a sport he enjoys and learns so much from! Also, this facility is just FANTASTIC! We looked at so many (and were getting so discouraged) and we finally visited and watched a lesson here and it was the best by far! Master Carter and his wife Nikki are so dedicated to the children, and it is a wonderfully friendly atmosphere!

Ive trained in multiple dojos and multiple martial arts including boxing , bjj , kenpo , and Ive trained at a different tkd dojo and this dojo is the most affective tkd dojo if ever seen , His students are very well trained and during sparing i almost got ko'd bye one of his brownbelts and it was a girl , My kicking skill and power has increased alot from training her in a month , I wish i could still train here. I reccomend this dojo
