I have been with this academy for over two years. As soon as I get to black belt I will be renewing my contract because I'm never leaving. What Mr and Mrs Timlin have done is just amazing. I've studied at two different schools before I found this one and there is nothing like it. There is constant support, all of the instructors and people you learn with are just great and friendly. I can't begin to tell you how much this place means to me and how they have changed my life in such a positive way. They're like family and I thank them for the privilege to train there.

Walking into this school, just to check it out, is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. The material is top notch and the instructors and staff want you to learn more than just punching and kicking. They want to help you to become a better you! Between my workouts and helping others with theirs, I get so much out of this school that I can't even begin to describe it all. However, I'm willing to try, so if you have an extra couple of hours, let me know and we'll talk :) I can't recommend this to you highly enough. It _will_ change you for the better.

I have had a GREAT experience at the Mid Michigan Academy over several years of training. The instructors are friendly and make class a lot of fun. It's a great workout and is unique in the fact that is is a practical self-defense oriented martial art that anyone can practice. The Mid Michigan Academy is a great place for families to train and grow together!

I was 13 years old when i started training at the Mid Michigan Academy. I had a VERY bad attitude and was very cocky and disrespectful to my parents. Within a month of training here that turned around completely. On top of the top-notch self-defense based training I have received in my 6 or so years at the school I have also gained a lot from the incredible personal development training offered. I have learned a tremendous amount of respect patience and most importantly perseverance. One of the biggest things I have accomplished in my life is my eagle scout rank in BSA and without the follow through and stick to it attitude taught to me by the instructors at the dojo I would never have been able to achieve even close to that. The benefits of training certainly do not stop there though. The stress relief that you get from being in class and hitting the pads is amazing especially for a college student around finals time. It is really great after spending a full day sitting in lectures to come in to such a high energy and highly enthusiastic environment where you can clear your head and get a mental reset then re-analyze a situation from a fresh perspective. To sum it all up I love training at this school and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality martial arts instruction in a safe positive environment
