If you are visiting the Lake George area, and you train BJJ, you NEED to stop by this academy! Eddie Fyvie and his whole team are by far one of the best groups of people I have trained with. For years my family visited the Lake George Village and I never knew where to train, thankfully I was recommended by a local to get in touch with Eddie, and I am glad I did. They have amazing technique and instruction, and the academy is great!

The Eddie Fyvie Jiu Jitsu Academy is without a doubt the best place to train Jiu Jitsu in upstate NY. It's a clean, friendly environment for men, women and children. If you go 1 time and speak with Eddie Fyvie or watch him teach a class you will not want to leave. Go check this place out, you won't regret it !

I have been a certified police instructor for 20 years and have attended five martial arts schools in 30 years, and I have never been in a more positive martial arts instruction environment. The instructor staff, with an unrivaled level of life experience in the area, are both experts and humble. Classes are well structured and all of the students work together with a complete absence of ego or arrogance, regardless of rank. The techniques are practical, effective and efficient, and I would (and have) recommended the Eddie Fyvie Academy to anyone interested in learning martial arts. If you are a parent and want to introduce your child to the martial arts, do not go anywhere else. The kids classes are very positive experiences for the students, and the perfect learning environment for children.

Eddie is wonderful with kids my boys have learned so much and enjoy every class.

The Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy lives up to being an academy. It is a systematized approach to learning martial arts in a very relaxed, cooperative atmosphere. My son is the youngest in the adult classes and has been very well received. This is a direct reflection of Eddie and his teaching philosophy. If you are on the fence, I will guarantee that you will not be disappointed no matter your skill level or physical ability.
