AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're also known as Levittown Paving, which they advertise with in mailings throughout Levittown/Bristol/Fairless Hills/etc. My neighbor contracted them via an advertisement that she received in the mail to repave her driveway. Since they were doing hers, we figured we'd get an estimate for them to widen our driveway. We did, and were satisfied with the quote, so we contracted them to do the work. We paid them 1/2 of the estimate ($850) with the other half to be paid at completion, and were fine with the situation. On 7/31, they tore up the grassy area that was to be widened, laid stone down, and said they'd return in a few days to pave the stone as the ground was wet (which it was), so we agreed. Fast forward to a few days later. We call to find out when the job is to be completed, and was informed that the owner's wife was very ill and hospitalized and that they wouldn't be coming out to finish the job. (We later come to find out that the wife told my neighbor that her husband was ill and hospitalized for having a major heart attack) Ok, fine, give us our money back because the stone laying was not $850, we weren't going to have the job finished, so we asked for the money back. The owner said he'd have his son contact us to talk about finishing the job, and beat around our request for the money back. A few days later, with no calls from anyone, we contacted them where they agreed to pay us back $500 of the $850. Great, we said, mail a check out. A week passes, no check. Another week, no check. My lawyer contacts them and tell them we're going to file suit if they don't return our money and the owner agreed to pay $250 one week, $150 the next, and $100 the next until the amount is paid back. We agreed to accept that term over the phone, and still have not seen a dime. I can't file a suit against a business which has no address because the address listed above is an automotive shop. When you google this company and their phone number, the name is completely different than the name that they advertised under (Levittown Paving) which is a completely different than the name the contract is under (Payless Paving and Sealcoating). I received a typed "contract", while my neighbor, who contracted with them the day before, received a hand written proposal on a standardized proposal form from Staples. The address they're listed under is not their legitimate address as my brother drove by to speak to the owner, and there is nothing at the listed address (10003 Bustleton Ave in Philly, 19116). We have one contact number for them, a supposed "office" number to the phantom address and discovered it's an automotive shop. Each number we have for the owner of the company is currently disconnected. They are true scammers and others that I've spoken to that have hired them to do work have been screwed, too.
