Is Rhodium the ideal metal for a wedding band? Well, let's look at the criteria: rhodium is harder than most steel alloys; strong, can't be bent or pulled apart; completely safe for skin, is hypoallergenic; RARER than gold . . . 100 times less rhodium is mined each year than gold — it's THAT rare! Well OK, you might say, but what about other precious metal criteria for a wedding band like beauty? → Answer: All white gold is plated or "flashed" with a thin layer of rhodium, and doing so is the jewelry industry standard. → Why do they do this? → Answer: White gold is not really white, so rhodium is used to make it more marketable; the rhodium is brilliant white, won't tarnish and provides a hard layer. Looks like the industry experts have already answered the question of rhodium's beauty by plating all white gold with it. → So, why not just make jewelry out of rhodium? → Answer: Why indeed! Traditional jewelry techniques can't handle rhodium since it melts at a higher temperature than platinum and temps attained by the hottest flame of a jeweler’s torch. → So, what gives?? → Answer: That's where we enter the picture as the first fabricators of solid rhodium jewelry.

Rhodium is the ONLY precious metal to not require alloying with another metal: bright white, strong, harder than steel, FAR rarer than either platinum or gold. ALL white gold and even platinum are plated with pure rhodium to make them easier to sell. ‘Why not just make the jewelry from pure rhodium?’ you might ask. The reason is that fashioning rhodium into rings is OUTSIDE the purview of traditional jewelers’ crafting techniques. That's where WE come it: the world's only source of custom rhodium jewelry. Sounds preposterous, but it is a fact!
