My fiancé spent over $6000 on my engagement ring . One of the tiny diamonds around the big diamond continues to fall out and we have to take it back to have it put in which leaves me without my ring for two weeks . When I explain to them how disappointed I was only two months ago that it had fallen out and we had to bring it in ..they replied that it's common with these little tiny very! Surprised at her response, I replied maybe she should've imformed my fiancé of that before he purchase it . Today I spoke to the manager.. a woman at this store and she was totally rude!! Very trashy. I ended up being very rude back considering how much money he spent and how little respect for me as a customer she had . She had horrible customer service skills I don't even know how she became a manager . After dealing with the selisgrove store (we live closer to it)on fixing my ring and inspected it and my soon to be wedding band I decided to call the east mall store to check up one the work that was done to my ring and see if she put the info in the system on inspecting my rings too. If your not familiar with Kay's ... you have to take your items there every 6 months to have it inspected so if anything does go wrong they fix if no cost to you. Well Kay's failed to record that when I had just had my ring inspected this January so I want to call and see if they got it right this time! I'm not taking changes when diamonds are falling out! So I call this store got to talk to the lady that Sold my fiancé the ring and had worked with us before . But she was off and we got this nasty women ... who acted like the information I requested. Wasn't wind mine to ask for ... like how dare I!! It was like pulling teeth teeth from here to just answer if my rings were recorded as being inspected!! It went on and on from there. No answers. I'll have to wait for an email .. I said from now on I want a paper receipt stating they were inspected . She replied we can do for you !! REALLY! I have been purchasing my other jewelry elsewhere to void this kind of service . Believe it or not the Selinsgrove manage is worse! The only thing I can get from theses people becoming managers is that they are " tell you want you want to here" kind of salesmen. Once you bought it they're customer service goes out the door! Kay's isn't what it use to be that's for sure

How Kay Jewelers ruined my engagement surprise... I Have been planning this for 8 months, I work in retail sales and knew I wouldn't have a chance to buy my ring over the holiday season unless I bought it at the end of October. So I decided to take a look and find the right ring and purchase it months ahead of time before I decided to ask my girlfriend to marry me. Prior to doing this I made sure I set up to have the bill sent to my email so there is no way she could have had it or found it in the mail. Unknowingly to me the day I bought my ring was the same day Kay jewelers sold their Kay's credit card business to another company called Genesis financial. At least that's the name I believe it's called. When that happened they did not follow or carry over the same information that Kay jewelers had for their online account and decided to send a statement to my mailing address. Sadly when the mail arrived yesterday my girlfriend opened it up and saw that I had purchased her and engagement ring. Blowing 8 months of planning because I wasn't planning on asking her until this, Spring I had planned a vacation for us where I was going to ask her on the vacation to marry me. I even paid ahead of time for a romantic getaway one day to do all of that and to propose to her. When I called Kay jewelers and asked them about this their only response was I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do about this unless you have a Delorean or something then we can maybe go back in time and fix it and the one girl even laughed at me. That girl wasn't in this retail store she worked at their customer doesn't care dept. She also stated to me that this was not the 1st kind of call she's had in the past few days and that she's had a couple issues that she said where other people had their surprises ruined. Sadly my advice is to stay away from Kay jewelers because they don't seem to either care or understand how much this hurt me and how much planning I had/have been putting into this. Thank you Kay jewelers you ruined one of the most important moments of my life!
