We've had Alaska Fire & Flue do multiple jobs for us. Initially, they replaced and modernized a rock wall fireplace for us, with a beautiful mantel, and polished concrete hearth. Honestly, we didn't really know what we wanted, but Ben's creativity helped walk us through the details, and it's become a focal point in our home. We couldn't be happier! We also had them install a wood insert in the above mentioned fireplace, and a freestanding wood stove in our basement. Both were purchased from Alaska Fire & Flue, and we've been very pleased with the standard of excellence in installation and the efficiency of the stoves. Ben has an attention to detail, and a common courtesy sense that not everyone has. He's the kind of guy you trust to not walk on your carpet with dirty shoes, and to get the job done right, the first time. He takes pride in his work, and it shows!

I don’t give 5 stars because everything works correctly, that’s to be expected, and everything does. I give 5 stars because of the level of service. Ben checked with me several times to make sure my new stove was working correctly. When I got back to him on some minor concerns, he checked back with me every few weeks until I finally gave him a date to return and check out the stove. By the time I agreed to a visit I had already worked out the concerns (all due to my lack of experience) but he still insisted in coming to check on the work and make sure everything was as it should be. I would highly recommend this company for being committed to providing for their customers needs.

Ben "installed" the wood insert as per photo he hung the surround and did not fix to the fireplace , he states this is the proper way that this insert is supposed to be installed. The gasket lasted one month and we contacted Osburn for warranty which they in fact tried to contact Ben of Alaska Fire and Flue, he did not return any calls from them and even after the state of Alaska got involved Ben still hid from everyone.I am now left to fix the gasket which Osburn is sending to my house and I will properly finish the installation after this clown billing for over $3,000 for fire insert and installation. Ben also took the crown from the chimney for his personal keeping without asking. I would never under any circumstance use this outfit as seen per photographs. Osburn fires are very cheap brand and their customer service is about as good as Alaska Fire and Flue. Its up to you if you wish to throw your hard earned cash to people who are clearly indifferent and never stand by their poor workmanship. Ben posted "this story is a lie", all I can say Ben you were very lucky that you did not end up in Palmer court , how is that for a lie ? You were reported to the state of Alaska just so as you know .

Highly recommend Alaska Fire & Flue. Ben did a fantastic job from start to finish when it came time to replace an old wood stove with a beautiful and efficient Osburn 2300 in my log home.

We just had our wood stove installed by Alaska Fire and Flue. The whole process was as smooth as could be from quote to installation. The custom hearth pad looks excellent and my wife and I are already enjoying the stove on this cool rainy night. Thanks Ben!
