Dec 26, 2009
...and he came to my home in Paradise, CA to look at my polyglycol solar hot water system. He checked the system out and determined there was an airlock preventing the polyglycol from circulating within the system (in other words is wasn't working). With my help, he drained the system completely of the polyglycol, and then flushed it out with water. He then said the switch that controlled the whole system needed replacing and that he'd order it and get back to me. I waited two weeks and received no call for Daniel Heal. I called his office and left messages (you cannot talk to him directly, he kepps himself behind a firewall consisting of a answering service as the only way to leave him messages). I tried calling repeatedly for several weeks...leaving messages for him to return my call. He never did...AND it's been over TWO MONTHS (today is Dec. 26th 2009). The last time I called, the person who answered was odd...actually mocking me after I explained Daniel Heal left me with a now totally non-functioning solar hot water system. The guy said, "I feel your pain." What on earth was that? Every time I've left a message for Daniel Heal to return my call, they always ask for an address connected to my phone number. I have no idea what is up with Daniel Heal Plumbing. He seemed like a really nice, upstanding guy. I liked him quite a lot. He was very pleasant and quite professional. But he simply disappeared and left me twisting in the wind. I really don't know why. This is a terrible way for Daniel to run a business. The only thing I can guess, is that he decided he didn't want to finish the job he started, though he left my hot water system non-operational. It now heats the water only via a back up electrical system. I wish he'd have the decency to communicate with me or at least give me an idea of somewhere I can go to get this job finished. I think this may be what happened. We live on three acres of land in Paradise, CA where deer regularly live around us. A couple of years ago, an elderly deer just hung around on our property. It was very old and obviously was going to die soon. Dogs that some neighbors allowed to run free came over and tried to attack it. We protected this aging deer from all the roaming dogs. The deer felt safe at our home...hung around knowing we'd protect it...and finally died. My wife, who loves animal skulls, carefully took the skull of that dead deer and cleaned it. We have it hanging above our front door as a tribute to that lovely animal whom we felt a kinship with in it's final days. I did notice Daniel Heal looked at that deer skull a lot. I believe he must be of some religious faith that believes that it is a bad sign or something to have a animal skull around..that's the only thing I can think of as to why Daniel Heal simply won't respond to me. We got along just fine when he first came over. There were no signs of anything weird at all. But I do know there are some folks that really actually believe skulls or bones are some really bad sign. So, he just disappeared and left me with a now not-working solar hot water system using polyglycol. I must say, this is the weirdest experience I have had with anyone who's come to my home to do a service call.
