DO NOT use American Plumbing, if you don’t like being lied to, cheated and treated poorly. They are an absolutely terrible company. We recently had them come out to replace our hot water heater. We were having issues with sediment build up that was traveling up the water lines, causing almost zero flow of water from all fixtures in our master bathroom. Instead of attempting to fix the actual problem, they would come out and clean the faucets for a total of five minutes worth of work, at 100 dollars a service call. It was only when we spoke to a contractor with real knowledge of plumbing issues, that he told us our hot water heater needed to be replaced. He told us that the year and model of the hot water we have was recalled due to issues with sediment build up. When I called the fifth time to have our faucets fixed, (and five hundreds dollars worth of service calls) is when I mentioned to the plumber the recall. He finally inspected the water heater, and said we needed it replaced. We had an original date last week to have it replaced. The company calls several minutes ahead of time to let you know they are near. We waited for hours that day and no phone call. My husband called the office late afternoon and Chris (the supposed “manager”) lies and said she had tried calling us several times, and even left messages to assure we were home. She did have the correct phone number on file when he asked her what number she called. She claimed that maybe there was something wrong with local phone towers. She was completely at a loss for an excuse. There was never a single call to my husbands phone from them. After today, I realize that they don’t have enough plumbers employed and probably overscheduled themselves that day. She outright lied to us. They did show up to replace the heater earlier this week, and right after, I had no water flow from my kitchen sink. It was within ten minutes of them leaving. All of our toilets, sinks and bathtub faucets ran, but with a significant amount of air in the lines, on all floors of the house. My husband called them right back. Chris suggested that I attempt to fix the sink myself, over the phone. I was unable to do so, and she told me she would have someone out today, and possibly even yesterday to take care of the issue. When I called yesterday, it was an entirely different story. She said that what they did , had nothing to do with the sink issue and that I would be charged one hundred dollars for them to come out. I called today to see what time they were coming out, and Chris was even more rude to me. She told me that other people have more important issues than mine. She said that her plumbers are on a job right now that was of more importance than mine. She told me that she just “speaks that way” on the phone when I asked why she was being rude to me. She could have cared less that I haven’t had a functioning sink for days now. That is an inconvenience for anyone, especially when you have four children, and 50 people coming over for a charity event the following day. I have caterers coming to my home tomorrow at three, and we have no functioning sink. Chris doesn’t care about her customers. I can tell you that. They don’t have enough employees either. They will not take responsibility for an issue that was caused by replacing the work they did the other day. It would take an idiot to not be able to put together that the issue with the sink is directly related to what they did. I find it odd that she knew what the problem was with the sink, the day we called. She wanted me to take the screen of of the faucet and clean it out (from the sediment that traveled up the water lines) although it wasn’t possible with the type of faucet we have. Oddly enough, i just sold my car to a plumber, and he even said that there company is dishonest, and that he has had to fix problems associated with their repairs. Moral of the story...FIND ANOTHER COMPANY to call if you have plumbing issues.

First time calling this company and I had such a wonderful experience. I called them at last minute and they were able to fix my plumbing problem the same day. Great customer service! Thank you for your help especially around the busy holiday season I greatly appreciate it!

Totally dishonest company. I fixed their main computer and he paid with an NSF check and won't make good on it. I wouldn't want to trust my plumbing to someone like that.
