Water Heater Repair Excellent Service

Tony came highly recommended to me when I needed to find a plumber to repair a leak in one of the hoses going into our water heater. He was on time for the repair, professional and very knowledgeable. He put me at ease and made me feel that I was in good hands. He will be the first one I call if I have another plumbing issue. He is also the plumber I will recommend to my friends and family.

Tony was great. In our first phone call he talked me through several items to trouble shoot before making any decisions. We came the root of the problem and it wasn't one I wanted to tackle on my own, given main water source... He came by the next day and in less than 30 minutes was done. I really thought it was great that Tony took the time to assess my problem first to see if his services were really needed or something I could just do on my own. That says a lot. I can't speak for the experiences of others here, but I really thought he was professional and gave me a good education. Only reason I didn't do 5 stars, is that I did think it was a little expensive for the time spent, but I think that's just the rate of plumbers... Anyways, thanks Tony! Will call again if ever needed.

My wife and I called this company to fix our gas hot water heater. After the initial inspection, we were told that the pilot assembly needed to be replaced, but the part had to be ordered. Two weeks went by with no update (not to mention, no hot water). We called to check the status and were told the part "just came in" and they would be out the next day to fix it. I had to loan him a torx driver because he didn't have one with him. It took him less than 30 minutes to replace the pilot assembly. After charging $200 to replace a $40 part, the burner was still not working. He told us the gas control valve needed to be replaced. He suggested that we buy the part ourselves from Home Depot and to fix it ourselves, or he would make a 3rd trip for another $90. We understand there could be multiple issues with the heater. We are also sympathetic to the fact that replacement parts sometimes need to be ordered. We just didn't think it was very professional to suggest that a homeowner attempt to repair a gas heater themselves. Bottom line is after two weeks of cold showers and paying $200, we still didn't have a functioning water heater. P.S. I couldn't find the control valve anywhere in Raleigh, so I called the manufacturer; something I should have done in the first place. It turns out the defective part was covered under their warranty and they sent a new one to us at no charge.

Tony is fantastic. He fixed a tub leak for us in the spring and then I called him back about a water pressure issue that we were having. He came to diagnose the problem and was so careful and thorough about his recommendation - as if he were the one spending the money to fix it rather than us. His diagnosis was spot on and his fix resulted in better water pressure than we've ever had. I'd hire him back for any of our plumbing needs.

I called on a Sunday due to a clogged toilet. Tony not only informed me that coming out on the weekend would cost more, but also talked me through some tests to see if the toilet was still clogged and told me how to avoid the bowl from filling up (since I had concerns about water coming out from the base of the toilet). He helped me resolve my issue on the phone, and offered to come out Monday if there were any remaining problems. As far as I'm concerned, this is one stand-up dude with integrity. Not everyone would warn you about extra charges, or help you over the phone. I would call him back with any future plumbing issues, a big THUMBS UP!!!

Tony was sent to my house by HSA home warranty to snake out a clog. He couldn't find the clean out drain, and claimed he didn't have the right equipment to go through a very large crawl space. He proceeded to convince my wife that she pay him the $50 deductible that is supposed to go towards work done via HSA and went on his way. The next plumber found the clean out in front of the house, and had it unclogged in about 30 minutes. As far as I am concerned this guy is an incompetent plumber and a crook. Don't waste you time with A&J Drain
