Josh Cruz was amazing. We weren’t expecting him until 1pm, but the main office called and said Josh would arrive at our place early, which was awesome because our basement was flooded. Josh was super professional and very knowledgeable. He knew what to look for immediately and made us feel at ease about our flooded basement. Josh explained to us what the problem was and the future steps we needed to take. Josh was also very respectful of our property. He took extra measures to make sure our place was clean by using drop cloths, a shopvac, and covers for his boots. We would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Josh for anyone’s future plumbing needs.

Paid about $250 to have a leaking valve replaced about a year ago, and was told at the time, don't worry though, you have a 2 year warranty on it. It is leaking worse now about a year later then it ever has and I called for warranty and I was told I still had to pay about $200 again (fee+125 tax....). Beware! [Added] found out the fixture they replaced was never actually replaced, it just had two rubber tabs replaced. Also turns out it's free to go to Moen and get the replacement part and takes about ten seconds to not only do myself, but teach my ten year old as well. Thanks Ben Franklin for advancing my family's knowledge of plumbing, and hustling.

Bait and switch - prices aren't fully disclosed until you agree to pay their service fee, and then they quote you prices much much higher than the industry standard. Ended up just paying the service fee and sending them packing. Cheaper to hire someone else, and get gouged on the service fee than to pay what they were asking. Save yourself some time.

Called them for a quote to repair a gas leak in basement. Dominion was already there and did a pressure test on my lines, so I knew which joints were leaking. Guy charged us $550 to do a pressure test, that was already done by Dominion two hours earlier. Then quoted a repair cost of $4,500 to replace all gas line in house. So needless to say I got a second quote to replace all lines. Which a local plumber came to my house and gave me a price of $500 to do the job. So if you need work done definitely get another price quote.

We had the washer drain pipe snaked and a jet cleanout for the outside lines which y to the sewer. The washer still backs up in the laundry sink, and they scratched my washer while snaking it.
