They did a really nice job on the clubhouse, everything looks really nice. The seats at the Grille are super comfortable and the staff was nice. Unfortunately we did have some issues though. They were understaffed and we came in with a group of 8. Even though half the restaurant was empty, we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated and we waited another 45 minutes after ordering for our food. We might go again to give them another chance, but I wasn't impressed for our first time there.

We started our adventure at the newly opened grille with reservations at 6pm last night for 4. When we arrived, they did not show a reservation for us. We were seated immediately because at that time there was plenty of seating available. We were handed menus, and the waitress left us to look at our menu options. She returned a while later to ask if we would like to order drinks, which we all did. Again she returned awhile later with the drinks, but did not take our order. It would have been nice if they would have served some bread and butter. While waiting we noticed the special on the board was a sirloin and halibut, when we asked about the special, they had erased the board and said it was no longer available. So we waited and waited, finally we ordered our meals. I can’t tell you how long it took for us to be served our salads, I had to get up and ask another waiter if we could please get our soups and salad (maybe an hour or so). We were immediately served one soup and one salad. Again we had to ask for one more soup that had not been served. Oh, we also had to ask for salt and pepper. That took a few minutes because they were hunting for it in various cabinets. After finishing our soups and salad, I was approached by our waitress, who whispered in my ear that she was sorry, but they had no more baked potatoes for my order, so I had to choose another side. At this time we are noticing people who came in after us were now being served their meals. I will say, when our meals finally arrived, the food was good. Then, we waited and waited and waited for the bill. Seriously, we were all unhappy at this point. Then to add insult to injury, we were charged the 18% gratuity! Gratuity for what? The very poor service we received? When we asked the waitress, who knew all of the problems we experienced that evening, she said she had no control over the gratuity. Really? She could have at least gone and talked to a manager about our dining experience that evening, and allow us to leave a gratuity we thought more appropriate. We would not have stiffed them. We arrived at 6pm. we left at 8:45pm. If you are thinking of going, my advice is to wait awhile until they have everything dialed in. They should have not opened until they were sure they could provide quality food AND service.
