I played in an outing here just after they opened in the fall. I can excuse some roughness around the edges from the renovation. What I can't excuse are the poor design choices. There are only a few "good holes" on the entire course - even after the redesign. You need to wear a helmet as you leave the green and drive back into the landing zone to go to the next tee. It's not fun, and is WAY overpriced.

Great revamped course. Formerly Spring Valley Country Club, redesigned by Jack Nicklaus Design, this public course is beautiful and challenging. I lost about a dozen balls on my first round. I'd give it five stars if not for the high cost of a round/membership. I hope they succeed, but I'll probably stay away until it's affordable.

Just had a 10am tee time yesterday and this course is humbling. Been a while sense I've seen that many sixes. Its still under construction so a lot of dust in the air till the cart paths are finished. I would of payed an extra $100 to bring the starter with me. He was the most informative and personable starter I have ever spoken with. He took the time to explain the layout and things to watch for which helped pace out the players on the course. We never had to wait on a hole and no one caught up to us either. Simply there starter did an amazing job. The course itself has some rough and bare spots but nothing that isn't expected for a new course, with a season of growth and a winter to rest it is going to be the most beautiful course in the area. We did the $40 18 yesterday and it was worth every penny even with the condition of construction. The starter also told us that it is going to be $60 next year when it's finished, which is still an amazing price for the course. Lastly I can say jack makes some evil bunkers. The course as is now is 4.75 of 5 stars but by next year it will be an easy 5 and the staff puts it well over the top of any course in the area. I will be back soon. (I believe I have found a new home course)

Played here on Saturday under the $40 preview deal. It's worth a look at that price for sure, however, I will be waiting at least a year, if not 18 months, before I head back. There is a lot of maturity that needs to happen for the course overall, but most especially on the stretch of holes from 13-16. The area to the right on 14 is totally hard pan right now and will need at least a year of growth. The 15th fairway was riddled with crabgrass growing in. The holes located between the road and the clubhouse (6-9 and 17-18) were in the best shape with only 7 needing some real growing in (to be fair we weren't able to play 9 due to drainage having been installed that week, but it looked nice). The layout is decent as there are only a few holes that truly take driver out of your hands. The clubhouse looks like it will be incredible once completed and the staff was very friendly but especially the starter and the food and beverage manager who took time to ask a lot about our experience. There is no reason this shouldn't become one of the top public tracks in NE Ohio, it just needs time and expectations should be set accordingly until the course has the ability to mature.

Very nice course just needs to mature a bit. Loved it.
