Just there with a friend two days ago. We had a male server who wasn’t interested in paying attention to serving us. His clothes were filthy, and when he took our order he told me that he didn’t know what shaved corned beef was, even though I get it there all the time. I explained it to him, and when my sandwich came out it was not shaved like I had requested. It also took over 1/2 hour to get two sandwiches and a cup of soup. Someone needs to clean that new place up, with new clean looking servers, and clean interiors.

This place stinks.. For one it's way way overpriced.. I ordered lunch for myself today.. I had one I ordered the pastrami expecting to see one like in the picture I got something that looked half of like that with skimpy white bread..who serves pastrami on White Bread??. Comes on nice marble rye at other places) a chicken Caesar salad which was disgusting and they even forgot the dressing so I had to drive back and get it on top of that, a small container of rice pudding and two small pastries cost me almost $40.. The service was horrible I waited about 25 minutes for my order even after I called it in and like I said they forgot the dressing so I had to drive back. I will never eat here again.

Coming from NY I expected “Jewish style deli”, which is what I searched for on my phone... My husband and I got take out- a qt of chicken soup, a pastrami sandwich and a side of fries. My husband said the soup was good, and it did look good. The pastrami sandwich was terrible; the pastrami was anemic looking and so fatty that I threw half of it out. The bread the sandwich was made from was very good, but only as big as the palm of my hand. The slice of pickle that accompanied this probably had been sitting in the plastic bag for days; soggy and nasty. The side of French fries (14, count ‘em) were dry, soggy, and tasteless. And for $22, I expected more. We will not be returning. I have some advice- go to Ben’s and glean some some info from them- red, flavorful pastrami with tons of seasoning, some of the best fries around, deli style mustard, not Gulden’s packets, and whole pickles. We will not be coming back...very disappointed.

I was a frequent customer at TooJay's when it was by the mall, always enjoyed it and gave many people my recommendation. A friend and I had breakfast there today. What happened? I ordered a cheese omelet, which was huge, good, but I had to really look for the cheese. I also ordered an onion bagel, but got a burnt garlic bagel instead. My friend ordered eggs and home fries. We have never seen home fries that looked like that, dark brown, mushy, rubbery and indistinguishable from the onions and peppers which were the same color. Very disappointing. I'll give it one more shot and attribute today's dissapoinment to the change, but after that . . .
