They made clams casino for my mother and I. She called ahead because there not on the menu. They were absolutely best I have had in years. The accommodation for making them for us was phenomenal as well. Very very much the classiest place ever! Thank you👍♎

A wait staff in black with floor- length white aprons. Stupendous fish chowder and perfectly done fish filet with the lightest sauce blessed with lime. And so much more. Atmosphere? Think private gentlemen's club. Think very old Albany. Reliable, steadfast, comfortable.

We were in the private room, just off the bar area. Everything was lovely. Food and service were wonderful.

We were there on 5/19/18 to celebrate my son's graduation from U Albany. All of the staff could not have been nicer but most specifically our server Juslene (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was probably one of the best servers I have ever had in a lifetime of dining out. She was professional to a fault, gracious, super friendly and extremely accomodating in every aspect. The food was excellent and when two of our party who had ordered the prime rib asked for horseradish to accompany it, the sauce that they brought out was absolutely delicious! And the prime rib was cooked perfectly. I had the Hendrick chicken and shrimp over rigatoni and it was delicious and a huge portion which I was able to take half it to go. I strongly recommend Jack's and as my son will be staying and living in Albany, we will definitely return when we go up to visit him. Thank you Juslene for making a happy day even better!

Got the 20 oz tomahawk ribeye with a peppercorn crust. Cooked perfectly but not as much flavor as I was hoping. The caesar salad was as good as it gets. The bartender was amazing and the place just felt like it had history. It's over 100 years old. I'll definitely be back but expect to spend about 50 a person with no alcohol.
