A review for tofu lovers and hotel delivery: I was familiar with Golden Wok from their Austin, TX days, but now they are no longer their. I would dine in, and I would also recommend them to my guests when I was working at a hotel. I was staying at a hotel in San Antonio, and I remembered them. Luckily, they were within delivery distance! They were fast, and the food was hot Most any dish that has meat can be substituted with tofu. It is delicious, and I cannot find the same taste in most of the Chinese restaurants I frequent back home. The noodles are great! The spring rolls are great! The dipping sauces are great! There is always a very generous portion given. Whatever tofu dish you go with, do yourself a favor and get the Macau Chow Fun (wide noodles and black mushrooms!) or the Singapore Noodles (ask with no egg, spicy!) to compliment your meal.

We've tried the Chinese restaurant in North San Antonio, both buffets and menu style. Golden Wok on Wurzbach is the best, hands down, as to quality, cleanliness, service, and price. Highly recommend going on a Sunday when they offer the dim sum carts that come to your table with an excellent variety at reasonable cost. Just don't fill up on them! The main dishes will also be good and pleantiful. Do expect crowds on Sundays, but waits are not excessive.

Still a good place to visit, but has lost some of its past glory and allure. A few years ago this was a five star. They appear to have changed cooks and the taste has changed lacked spices and the rice and egg were cold. They still have their koi pond which is really special

Good food! Really good dim sum but get there EARLY on Sundays to get the dim sum FRESH. They will go around several times and ask if you would like some. The bill can get high from all of the small plates, but that's what you expect at a place that serves awesome Chinese food! 😊

The food tastes very fresh--never spongy like you might experience in other Chinese restaurants in the same price range. Overall, I would say it seems like a much more expensive restaurant, but the prices are reasonable and the portions are ample. I've enjoyed Golden Wok for a while, but what prompted me to post a review was the excellent treatment we received from our server William tonight. He was attentive, but not overbearing, and when our entrees took a while to come out, he offered us some complimentary soup, which really hit the spot. Thanks for a fine evening!
