Full disclosure: We did previously put a 5 star review. Because it was a family run business and we decided the deal for the door was worth the review. But when things started going south and we had to repeatedly call the company for corrective action we knew we should change it. While the door looks great the install and follow up were far from. We were promised a door on our budget which was well made and meeting our requirements of the condo board. When the installers came I drove by during the work and noticed a baseball sized dent at the top of the door. Like it was kicked by a boot or bumped by something rounded. Anyone who looked at the door would know it couldn't be after the fact since it's at the very top of the door and the frame. It was either dented in the truck or at the factory. No big deal, door was still a good price and we were happy. When the door didn't latch properly we called to have them fix it. And called, and called. The installer came out and said it was a known problem with the door and adjusted as best he could. It was marginally better. When the door started to have a draft in the winter, so much so that the wind would make a whistling noise and scare our toddler, we called again. The installer told us it was the best it could be with the type of door we purchased. When the house was so cold it was running up our hydro bill to $400 a month, we called again. This time the manufacturer came out, took a 30 second look and told us it wasn't installed properly and adjusted it to resolve the issue. When the lock stopped working properly we called again. Someone came out on a Saturday and fixed it asap. Not sure if he was the manufacturer or installer crew but we were quite pleased we could use the lock again. While Andre was professional and knowledgeable during our sales meeting the follow up definitely has left something to be desired. Not once did he come out to look at the door, resolve the issue or apologize. Pros - Professional sales pitch - Work requested was always followed up by a visit (or three) - Quality painting system used for door (No complaints, it's great!) - Lock was replaced promptly Cons - Installer wasn't knowledgeable - Took weeks to resolve any issues - No follow up from owner - Door came dented

I'm not feeling confident that they stand by their work. They installed 4 windows and a 4-panel patio door last Spring. Over the winter the new windows felt more drafty than my older windows. No issues with the patio door. I experienced major condensation build-up on really cold winter days. The company won't even come to the house to determine whether it's an air-sealing issue. They're telling me (over the phone) that it's an issue with my house (humidity or insulation) and not because of what they did. I don't have this issue with any of the older windows and my house is at the proper relative humidity level. I see from previous reviews that other customers have had a similar experience. Despite the pleasant sales pitch, my experience has been subpar after they got my money.

horrible company no customer service, the salesman actually swore to us , so disrespectful , not sure how they even are still open, totally regret dealing with this company

We visited Oakville Windows and Doors on Speer Rd. early Sept. last year for a new build; dropped off the windows and doors schedule along with our choices with Sylvia. A couple of weeks later we received a quote from Jessica Lamarre, we again dropped by to narrow down our options and requested additional quote on doors; she took all kinds of notes on what we were looking for; all happened still in Sept. last year. Oct and Nov. came and went with no reply and no revised quote, a few phone calls to the store in Dec. got one phone call back from Jessica saying that she’ll get back to us, no reply. I dropped by the store again in mid January in the New Year, talked to Sylvia when Jessica busied with another customer; Sylvia promised she’ll talk to Jessica and call me back, which she did the next day. She somehow could not find all the notes Jessica took; I inform her we can drop by again to go over our options and choices. A few days passed and no reply, I emailed her to follow up. Below is what she wrote back: “ Jessica is currently out of the country, not returning until the middle of next week. We are extremely busy and somewhat overwhelmed. Perhaps you should look elsewhere for your windows at this time. Regards, Sylvia Lamarre “ TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Andre and his whole family is amazing. I know him for 5 years now. Fist he came to my house and just educated me about the windows. A year later when I start searching for windows for my house, he was the best deal. Now I am in a new house. He came to check some of my windows. He loved them and told me I dont need to do anything with them. It is very rare to find ppl you can truly trust. Now he has a sale of the doors in his showroom. Great deals!
