As a downtown resident, Grimsby Glass is conveniently located for me. The staff are friendly and professional. They recently did a great job replacing the wood screens that are original to my house. They also supplied and installed a tempered, clear glass shower door. They have replaced the weather stripping on the door twice without charge, and recommended solutions to prevent leaks that could occur between the glass and wall of the shower door. Grimsby Glass prices may be slightly higher than some others, but I find the quality of the finished product and service reputation paramount.

Had sliding Patio Door fall off the runners, put up a wood brace to keep it place. Requested Grimsby Glass to come and give an estimate to replace the door. Installer came by to measure so that an estimate could be made to replace the door. Looked at the door and stated "I can't leave you with a door like that!". He then returned with his tools, reset the door so that we could use it till a new one was installed. This in my mind is taking that extra step for customer service.

I live in an old home and have started renovating it. I call GG to get a new door for the side of my house. Because it is old, the size is smaller than what they could provide. I instead got my front door done. They ordered the wrong door and basically said that that was the one i chose because it matched the number on the order (Wrong number was written down) They would not fix, said that was the door we ordered. We ordered in October, but did not get the door installed until February. The door does not sit properly in the frame work, because of the age of the house. This was not mentioned, until i complained about the space behind the trim. (If this had been mentioned before install, I could have arranged to side my house first, then had door installed and avoid this gap) The window in the door was also scratched. I also had a window replaced. This must have been a difficult to do as there was much anger while doing the job and the window continued to leak. In the process the wooden drip edge, on the small door I could not replace, was broken. When I complained about this and the scratch on the doors window, they replaced the pane of glass, but did nothing about the broken drip edge. I had to arrange several times to have someone at my home to meet their guy to fix it and the window. They did nothing about the window leaking, I had it fixed by someone else as it was destroying my interior plaster wall. Every time they came to fix the door they broke(were out at least 2 times) they only paid attention to the door they installed, would not look at the damage and told me why there was spacing behind the trim on the door they installed. Never fixing the broken drip edge. I had to call and get them to come back out to fix it, and got the same response. (Telling me that the front door had the spacing because it was an old house, not fixing their damage) I continually got the run around, about getting it fixed. When they wanted to settle the unpaid bill, i would get harassed like they were done the job and I was refusing to pay. I was waiting to get the repair done. They would rarely contact the number that they could reach us at. They kept calling my cell that i cannot retrieve messages on, after being told several times not to, and to use the other number provided. When mentioned to not use that number, they would claim they had called the right number (work number) when they had not. They had even showed up at my place of business, early in this fiasco, without calling first to discuss payment, before they had repaired their damages. This November I received a message (On the correct number) stating that the boss was at his wits end about receiving payment. Once i asked if they were going to fix the drip edge first, they made arrangements and got it repaired, but demanded payment immediately. When they did not receive the cheque in the mail a few days later, the harassing phone calls started again. Instead of worrying about being paid, to the point of practically accusing us of causing mental harm to the boss, they should have perhaps thought about what their customer was going through when their window would not stop leaking, or worrying about their door rotting because it was exposed to the elements! They were concerned with nothing but money, not doing their job, or making customers happy. They didn't even care they had broken things on install, tried everything possible to get out of fixing it and just demanded their cash. If they had done their job in the first place they would of had their cash.

Extremely helpful, reasonable, and fast efficient service. Would never hesitate to call again and would happily recommend them to everyone.

Not impressed. I had them quote on some custom mirror with 1/4" bevel. Price was ridiculous. I went to a mirror place in Stoney Creek. Was 65% less. The man I spoke to seemed to busy to care and was very condescending. This was in person and not over the phone.
