I just had Sterling come in to do a one time cleaning to see how I liked them. They were a no show the first day for which I will accept some of the blame as I had misplaced my phone. I later learned, however, that the owner had not kept my address that I had provided when I first booked the cleaning. Due to my missing phone I had to email with Mr. Sterling and gave him my son's cell number. Much to my dismay, my son felt he had to pay in advance for the cleaning service before they would come. I reimbursed my son but the whole ordeal took away from a service I had organized as a gift to him. After the house was cleaned (the girl did a good job) both my son and I were bombarded with emails and texts from Mr. Sterling wanting to know how long the girl was there cleaning. All I can deduce from that is that he was trying to pay his employee as little as possible and keep more for himself. Since I paid him $100 plus tax to have our townhouse cleaned (and not a thorough clean) I did not feel I needed to keep tabs on the time his employee took to do the job. In his conversations with my son regarding when the cleaner left, he never asked if we were satisfied with the service. My son told him that the cleaner did a good job but Mr. Sterling did not seem to be pleased or to care either way. I do not recommend this company. It was not a pleasant experience and this 'gift' I gave my son was tarnished by the hassles encountered just to get the service. I will go elsewhere next time because of the owner, who also complained to my son about the inconvenience caused to him because he couldn't reach me by phone that day.

Wow DO NOT USE. If I could put zero I would. This is the worst company I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. You have been warned. All they care about is tips I was told my house was more work that they could handle and did not even call me to cxl my future Appointment. Do NOT USE.

bad review to do what ??? Warn people about us. I stand by our reputation personally and adamantly refute such character assassinations vented here. Tom Searl. Owner Sterling House Cleaners.

AVOID! This company does not do full cleanings, they come to your house and vacuum and leave. Nothing will be dusted, and no cleaning products will be used. Our house actually looks WORSE after she left!! How is that even possible you ask? I don't know! If you complain, Mr. Sterling won't ask to see the work, we sent pictures, and he still attests the house was too messy (even though nothing was on the counters or tables) to clean properly.. I'm sure Mr. Sterling that if your "Best Cleaner on Staff" actually used a cleaning product, it wouldn't have been a challenge getting the dust off of an empty end table or getting the toast crumbs off of the kitchen table.. I highly suggest anyone considering using Sterling to reconsider otherwise you'll be poorer for the experience and your house will still be dusty. Check their BBB rating, check all the reviews, they are NOT WRONG! This guy needs to stop doing business, he's not a business man, he's a fraud edit: I truly gain solace if just one potential customer decides to not use your "services", based on my comments. If you were a true business person (and not a former used car salesman who still doesn't care about what happens after you get your money in hand) with interest in your community and customers , then you would have shown up at my house to inspect the situation before making feeble attempts to blame the customer for your employees lack of attention to detail. You should be ashamed of yourself and people should be aware of what they are getting into.
