Mattamy homes are not at the high quality expected. The price has also dropped on the exact same model/size we purchased... and that was not in the heat of the housing market and the drop to follow, its from feb 2018 to June 2019. What is their reason? This is not due to market fluctuations this is a selling tactic. The homes are in need of a lot of touch ups and finishing and homes from August of 2018 are just now getting grass. We are still waiting for our driveway after a May move in. The paint work is messy, and patchy with actual drips of a different colour from our overhead porch onto outside pillars as the work appears to not be sequential, just very random. We get fleeting and apparently unskilled tradesmen who appear to be almost racing around the homes outside with no care or attention to quality or precision. The Mattamy workers literally block the roads talking back and forth in the vehicles and ignore anyone behind them until there is a line up and someone honks. They mostly drive down the middle of streets in large trucks and cranes etc. These are all things that can be controlled. There is a feeling that now we are in the property nobody really cares and its on to next project. We did not get let down on any of our features and upgrades, or come across any MAJOR concerns and just hope things settle price wise and in general. Like any new site it leaves a lot to be desired, but very slow in every aspect. Much room for improvement only time will tell.

Terrible customer service. No response for emails or phone calls. Bad home plans and workmanship.

Good initial purchase experience, but why wouldn’t it be. Learned after the fact that you must use there water heater rental company under contract. Awful customer service with the “customer care” takes weeks to get simple documents sorted to the point of frustration. Moved into the new home and found simple features to be incomplete and shoddy tradesmen work throughout the house to the point workers are having to constantly come back to correct their problems. The workers onsite are somewhat helpful when you get them on the right day. However the biggest upset is the value of the houses. I’ve watched the house model I bought in 2018 drop $20,000 in the first release of 2019, and then another $20,000 in the second release. Not only did I instantly have my house depreciated in a year by $40,000, but the poor people who bought on the first phase release of 2019 instantly lost $20,000. Just absurd.

ZERO star...if I had option. My experience so far been terrible. I bought a house, they did not disclose at the time of purchase that there will be catch basin in my rear yard. They told me later. I questioned why I was not made aware before, they said it was not finalised at the time of sale. I found out from city of vaughan that location of catch basins were finalised long before the sale. They intentionally hide stuff like this. And pretty sure I am not the only one. And customer service is horrible. I cannot get hold of customer service to talk. They don't return my call. Email reply takes for ever and they only reply to what what they want to reply. I have only heard customer care coordinator "Dana King" voice ONCE in over a year after I signed the contract. Stay away from Mattamy....

Terrible customer service! It takes days sometimes week to respond emails/call messages to address my concerns about our house in Kleinburg Summit phase 2.
