The agreement was $15,000, plus $3,000 set aside for extras, and we agreed I would be able to stay in my home during the work. That never happened. On day one he said he was using the “Complete 3000,” but refused to explain what it covered. He claimed it was for removing an extra layer of flooring, but my cameras showed he was only here about seven hours doing that. He demanded a large upfront payment, then rarely showed up. He cut huge access holes but took no precautions, no containment, and no PPE. Everyone—his workers, himself, and my family—was exposed to disturbed mold. Because of how he handled the work, my home became uninhabitable, forcing me into a hotel for weeks. While I was displaced, he bullied and pressured me for more money, telling me it was up to me whether he showed up or not.
