Kathryn Wells dropped the ball in my legal case a few years ago. I was initially impressed by her media coverage around her own personal domestic abuse, however, I learned through her behaviour with me that much of this was posturing and she isn’t interested in helping other women. She blatantly slut-shamed me and asked me how I could “be so stupid”. When I became emotional she said, “oh don’t cry. You know what you did”. She was absent through most of my case and her assistant handled a lot of the work— both barely communicated with me. I gave Kathryn several pieces of critical information which she shrugged off and advised me there was no other option except take a criminal record. A few years after my conviction, when I was financially stable, I sought several lawyers for legal advice on everything that happened. I found out that she dropped the ball in several instances and this is unfortunate. She was unprofessional and it has caused a lot of pain in my life.
