My 13 yr., 8 month old Golden was euthanized in August. I must say this was the most uncaring, worst experience I’ve ever had with one of my pets. The doctor came into the room to euthanize her after her port was inserted and didn’t ask me if I was ready for it to happen, she just injected my dog with the drug and said “oh, this sucks”. My dog was still standing and I wasn’t even given time to get her to lay down and for me to hold her before she was euthanized. I was appalled at the lack of caring by this doctor. To make matters worse, her cremation paperwork was mixed up with another dog, an 11-year-old male Golden, who was euthanized at the same time/day, and when I was going home I looked at the paperwork and it had another person’s name on it. I immediately went back to KenTon and talked to the receptionist and I told her what happened, and she was very apologetic and assured me that this should not have happened!
