Two weeks ago I went to soldiers memorial hospital in Orillia with bright flashing lights in my left eye. I explained that my mother had experienced a detached retina and had lost vision in one eye. They told me I had a migraine. I told them I had never had an migraine in my life and didn't even have a headache but they sent me home and told me to take an aspirin. Just to be on the safe side I made an appointment with Doctor Wellington Bentley who thank God had a cancellation. He told me it was not a migraine at all and very gently explained to me that I had a tear in my retina which needed to be seen immediately. He arranged an appointment with Doctor Donald Nixon in Orillia and within 2 days I had emergency laser surgery. I cannot thank these two amazing professionals enough. Thank you gentlemen.
