Michael and Nancy always do an amazing job on my nails. Manicure, Pedicure and the gel! I love it. They are both so nice and always care for my needs.

I've been getting my nails done all over the bay area. With some places becoming my favorite. Nexgen is the best I've ever been to! They can do everything! Michael is the best nail person I've ever seen 🙌🏼 💕

I was disappointed in this place. I went at least 5 times (to give them a chance) and the nail quality is inconsistent, it is overpriced, & customer service was ok to start and ended up being trash. I found a more professional, more affordable, and more courteous dipping nail salon in Pinole called Oasis. The one in El Cerrito called Vivians is overpriced.

So I got my gel nails done and a regular pedicure on Saturday, 7/3/21 for the holidays. My gel nails started chipping as of Wednesday, 7/7/21 (4 days later). I called the shop to inquire on how long gel nails are to last; Mike told me 2 weeks. Next, I proceeded to make my complaint and I was told to come in to get it redone for free. My appointment was set for 12pm on Sunday, 7/11/21. On this day, I arrived at 12pm neither Mike or Justin was available to fix my nails. I was told to come back at 12:45pm. I returned and Justin was available. Justin repeatedly asked me what I wanted, I gave him my complaint. He asked, “So who did your nails”? After I told him, he now stated, “So you want a new nail polish...this looks like your nails was done 2 weeks ago”. I immediately turned to Mike who took the initial phone complaint. He stated, “I thought you said regular manicure...this is gel nails. Mike and Justin proceeded to speak in their native tongue. Justin now said, “I will do them for half off, I should of come right away”. I declined their offer because it doesn’t matter when I made the appointment, but rather a complaint was made about their poor service. I want to let you both know that it was clear why I made the appointment, so your actions should not have taken place. It was an inconvenience for me to take time from my busy schedule to return to the shop. The nail staff needs more training. Lastly, I have been coming here for years and expected better service because I only enjoyed my gel manicure for 4 days. Sometimes it is not about making a profit, but about principle and reputation. Thank you.
