I have always gone to Gloss consistently and in the past have been happy with their service, but this last time I got a gel manicure and I'm very unhappy... The technician used that drill bit thing on my fingers to get my old gel polish off, but he didn't stop at the top layer of gel, he kept going all the way down and it definitely was applied to my actual fingernails. Never in my entire life have I gotten a gel manicure before (and I've had A TON) where my fingernails afterwards were weak and bent easily. Not even close. I took months growing out my nails long, and now they are all bending and breaking off — with gel on! So not only do I have to start over, the manicure itself was a waste of money. Disappointed.

Don’t go here. I came back today after getting gel x manicure here 9 days ago because half the nails lifted or fell off, and front desk person Amaris tried to charge me 3/4 of full price to replace the set. I asked for the set to be comped and her manager (or someone) approved. New tech Summer was amazing, new set is same design as I had before. And as I’m leaving Amaris tried to charge me for the design, and I said that’s not what we agreed on, and got into a full argument with me about it raising her voice, and it was super embarrassing and awkward. I never take the time to write reviews but this experience was truly wild. I left Summer a big tip and got out out there. Not worth the draining confrontational energy. Both times I was was there it was a problem at the front desk.

I've personally not had a bad experience here but both my roommates felt like homophobia was an issue. haven't gone back since the 2nd incidence. #serious

My first visit here was good for gel extensions, they looked great and lasted. I returned and opted for dip instead. I waited quite a while despite having an appointment, and they cracked and chipped in only a few days. I called and politely asked to have a couple of fingers fixed—I had a good first experience and figured it was a fluke. They were really pleasant about it on the phone and I made an appointment, but when I went in I waited a really long time and was made to feel pretty uncomfortable about the whole thing. I was there an hour for only two nails, and someone who I think was the owner was pointing and talking to another employee about me from the front desk. It was really needlessly awkward and left a bad taste in my mouth, so I’ve been looking for a new spot.
