Came here out of desperation. Will never go back 1. No base coat was applied. I should have said something, but didn’t notice until she had already painted several nails and by that time I didn’t want to cause a stink. The lady was already rude and I didn’t want to annoy her further. I’ve never gotten my nails done without a base coat. Let’s see how long this polish lasts. 2. Two of my toenails have a very painful spot. Not sure how that happened, but I can’t even wear closed toed shoes. I also have a painful spot on one of my heals. 3. No massage was given. Usually with a pedicure you get at least a short massage on your feet and legs. This did not happen at all. She applied lotion to my feet and legs, but that was it. 4. Never in my life have I been charged for the disposable flip flops that you sometimes need to wear on your way out. That annoyed me.

I came in without an appointment and in 5 minutes or less I was seated and assigned a nail tech, Vivian, forgive me if I spelled your name wrong! She was absolutely amazing! I showed her my reference picture and she was spot on, from the shape to the color. She made me feel comfortable from start to finish. The price leaves you with room to tip generously, so please do! With that being said, Velvet Nails has got a new returning customer.

Absolute disaster and never going back. They must be good without gel involved to get these kind of reviews. Don't even know where to begin on the hot mess I just experienced. Forgot water in the foot bath, then freezing cold, then they forgot to turn off the water and another worker had to run over because it almost overflowed. The 1st woman put the uv light on my foot before she put the clear gel coat on. Then once I told her put the clear coat on she did and then put color on before she cured the clear coat. Then on the other foot left huge blobs all over skin and it got so bad another coworker got in a fight with her and kicked her off of working on me. They said it was unsalvageble and literally had to pry polish off with tools. My manicure was lumpy, unevenly colored, not to the base...a general mess. Worst mani pedi I've ever had. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Had to get to the car and try to file my own nails evenly. So disappointed.
