First time as a treat for myself and it was wonderful! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The stylist was incredibly precise and fun. It was a relaxing experience and I love my haircut and my beard trim. I also loved the time and care taken. I loved it, and will definitely being doing it again. Now just deciding on the membership!

The haircut itself was excellent, I look great. But let's face it, you can get a great haircut at lots of places. What you are paying for at an upscale place like this is the experience. I was hoping my stylist would make me her sole focus, but alas there was all kinds of commotion going on. There were other co-workers coming and going, making conversation with her and each other about their upcoming weekend plans. Problems with the overhead lighting system and the receptionist flicking the switches on and off to try and fix. That's just a sample. I'll go back for the free booze, hot towel, and straight razor neck shave. But hopefully there are less distractions next time.

I love coming here. It's so wonderful that a business like this exists for just us guys. I never feel out of place here. Very welcoming and accommodating to us gents. The services offered are top notch and the level of customer service and satisfaction is tremendous. The VIP package is where it's at. Can't recommend enough. Treat yourself fellas, you won't be disappointed.

My regular haircut place in downtown San Jose was not available for a last minute appointment, and that's when I stumbled on Hammer & Nails. Loved the atmosphere and experience (the complementary drink was nice), and the cut was done exactly to my specifications from Tristan. Not sure if I can spring for the membership, but this is a solid option for anyone looking to level up their grooming game in 2022.

My brother came down from Europe and decided to get his haircut here based on the ratings. While the staff was really friendly and we received helpful text messages before the appointment, the service itself was a let down. My brother had angry red uncomfortable razor burns on his neck after the service. I encouraged him to get back in and ask for a calming lotion to help with that. The staff did help with applying some tea tree oil but the experience ended up below what we hoped for. PS: upon posting this review, we received an immediate call back to offer a free service and a complimentary tea tree oil. Truly appreciate this level of service and care to make our experience right. Thank you and Happy Holidays to the Hammer and Nails Crew!
