Wow the pharmacy line is ridiculous. They really need to hire more people or find a more efficient way to fill scripts. It shouldn't take an hour to fill a come medication in a small dose. I tried to call ahead of time to check my prescription and there was no way to skip automated phone service, which is very frustrating, especially if you have more than one script but it doesn't say what one is ready for pick up. Please use another pharmacy this one is either very understaffed or not run efficiently.

I want to say first hand that I know your jobs are difficult and tedious. A suggestion I have is make two lines like every other pharmacy! Nobody has time to stand in line for an hour to drop of a paper prescription to turn around and have to do it again hoping that this time it will be less than an hr to pick it up. Example, my mother had surgery yesterday and she already had prescriptions waiting prior to the ones I needed to drop off today. I didn't have time to pick up or drop off today because I needed to get her home. That was at 1pm now it is 6:43 and I have been in line 30 minutes and I am only going to get to pick up her stomach medications because I cant wait another he to get her pain medication. Your corporate needs to make a major change. I couldn't imagine my mother or grandmother trying to deal with this. The 2 star is because I know the employees are trying to deal the best they can with the dysfunctional bosses they have. Working in the medical field I can say your phone wait time is ridiculous as well. Even if I click provider needing a pharmacist it can still be a 30 to 4 minute wait. I strongly encourage my patients to pick a different pharmacy because if there is an issue I dont have time to be on hold that long while trying to help other patients.

Two stars for availability of a medicine. Zero stars for "we are sorry to keep you waiting. There's one person ahead of you... " for 18 minutes. That makes a staff of...eh...ONE??? Please run an ad and hire more pharmacists. Sure there's at least one or two more qualified individual in the Valley -Anchorage area?

After waiting in line for an immunization, a pharmacy staff member said they no longer accept walk-ins, so I would need to set an appointment on their website. (which says walk-ins welcome still...) So, I sat in the waiting area, set up an appointment online, and waited for my time. At my dedicated appointment time, the same staff member told me the appointment I selected was too close to their lunch break, so I would need to come back after lunch?!? So, I waited in the long line again after their lunch, and one of the vaccines (that I had a confirmed appointment for) wasn't even in stock. Your system is a mess, Walgreens.

I wish I could leave a negative star review. I was waiting on hold with them for the 30 minute drive from Palmer to Wasilla (including the first 10 minute wait where they promptly hung up on me). I figured I may as well make my way there since the last three times I called, I've been on hold for 30+ minutes before being hung up on. I had tried to refill a prescription through the app but it refused to let me. Hence why I called to see if I could just refill it on the phone. When I arrived and there was only one person in line and one car in the drive through. I tried to politely let the front counter lady know that their phone system is having some trouble and was quickly cut off. I tried a second time to let them know that their phone systems were hanging up on people and got a very flippant response before she handed me my prescription and walked off. I get that they're understaffed and I empathize with the employees who are dealing with the brunt of public outrage but something needs to change. I shouldn't have to drive in to Wasilla just to check up on a prescription. I will be finding a different pharmacy.
