A great owner with an EXCELLENT bourbon palette and knowledge. This store has a crazy selection of bourbon and high quality spirits and wines in general. As far as bourbon goes, there are some great store picks you’ll find here. And they aren’t going to be your run of the mill picks either. The bar (yes there’s a full BAR) has some great rare, interesting, and one-off stuff. You’ll find lots of people in town with expensive things in their stores but without the knowledge of if the level of quality is really worth the price. Happy Hour Liquor and Bar is an absolute exception to this common reality. The bottom line is that this store is founded on knowledge and quality.

Look... If you're a whiskey lover just plan on visiting. Great group of folks that support numerous barrel pick groups and have quite possibly the best selection of single barrel picks around. Do yourself a favor and swing by here to check out the selection.

Aaron and his staff are always friendly and willing to help. They have a great selection, their bar is beautiful. Aaron and his team always have great store picks in stock. Many times, a portion of the proceeds from various picks go to charity which just goes to show the kind nature of Aaron and his staff. The store is clean and organized and prices are ALWAYS reasonable. There are plenty of stores to pick from in Lexington where I live, but I would prefer to drive to Nicholasville to Happy Hour 10 out of 10 times. My thanks to the folks at Happy Hour for all they do.

Happy Hour is one of those "Hidden Gems" you hear people speak of from time to time. At least it is for us. The bartenders take the time to make you a truly craft drink and the selection of bottles behind the bar is unbeatable. We love to start our date nights by going here for a drink. Most of the time we sit at the bar but sometimes we enjoy the nice leather chairs. We usually enjoy a nice cocktail then peruse the store for whatever bottle cstches our eye. The service is always great from the bar and store.
