It’s what bourbon is meant to be… hand-crafted, single barrel, barrel strength delicious nectar. Thank you, David and Vicki, for time well spent during the Private Distiller Experience on Tuesday. It was my third visit to Glenn's Creek but my first steps behind the velvet rope. We talked about mash bills, history, pot stills, small batches, creativity, experiments, successes, failures and new ideas. We spent time walking through and being shown the entire life cycle of creating bourbon in one of the oldest distilleries in Kentucky. David took the time to share not only the hows of what goes on but also the whys of the way they do it. And it becomes apparent once you get into the bottles. The samples were absolutely fantastic. Each label offers a unique flavor profile and it's truly a tasting "experience". I took home as many bottles as I could carry and some honey (yeah... get the honey...). And thank you for taking the time to sign the bottles. 👍. Very nice and appreciated touch. Thanks again for the hospitality…

We have been here twice now in the last 3 weeks. Vicky is fantastic I love her wit. I love the history of this property and of course I love old architecture. I would love to be able to tour the grounds and see some of the other buildings. This last weekend we saw that the master distiller David was on site but he was in a private tour or I would have loved to have him sign a bottle! This is a quality craft micro-distillery putting out one barrel a day!

Glenns Creek Distillery is out of the way but definitely worth the ride. Its on the grounds where the Old Crow Distillery used to be. They provided excellent directions. They have a rustic gift shop where they do tastings. The lady doing the tasting was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We didn't need a reservation.

Great low key, excellent micro brewery. Small operation with several pot stills for a true custom batch product. This relatively new micro distillery has already been recognized by the whiskey bible for OCD #5. Head distiller and owner will guide you through samples of 5 or 6 of their products from bourbon to a local taqueria and rum. Conversation is fun, casual and open to questions regarding the process, labeling and marketing. Fun outing with opportunity to buy liquor that has be locally made with barrel, bottle and proof hand written on the label. He will even sign and date the bottle for a truly unique gift…..a very nice touch.

Awesome experience! When all the other distilleries tell you to check back with them in 3 months for an available spot, this place will welcome you with open arms and "teach" you how bourbon is supposed to be made. Their spirits are spot on, and it's nice to know that the people guiding you are the same people making the product, not some billion dollar Japanese owned conglomerate slapping a "Kentucky" label on the bottle. Here, they don't make 2000 barrels a day, they make 3/4 of a barrel a day. I'm not saying don't go to your favorite distilleries, I'm saying, go here for a nice change of pace.
