2021: BPS as *thee* Dayton bottle shop for craft beer is over under the new owner. Last time I went it had so much old stock with dust on it and no one working the beer shelves. Even some of the lights were turned off, making the beer side seem abandoned. BPS is not much more than any old liquor store now. People used to visit from all over and be impressed at the rare finds and shelf gems in this hidden, shabby bottle shop. End of an era. Sad to see it go. ------ It's BPS. The original Dayton bottle shop with aisles and aisles of craft domestics and imports. There are other shops now, which is nice, but BPS holds a special place in my heart.

I have been going here for years. They always have an excellent selection and prices are always totally reasonable. The staff has always been knowledgeable and helpful.

The renovations they did was well needed and makes finding what you need so much simpler. And you don't feel like your being trapped in a maze. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I thought this was a great place -- I don't know what other reviewers mean by looking like it's under construction. It's a "no nonsense" kind of place -- it's not fancy -- but it has a good beer selection with many Ohio breweries represented and several meaderies and friendly enough staff. I'll be back for sure. I do wish they had more diverse whiskeys, but that's not a reason to not go.
