I've spent a fair amount of money at this place over the years as they do have a decent and sometimes interesting selection of whisky. However I've never been overly impressed with their customer service and my last visit only reaffirmed this. I walked in on a quiet Sunday afternoon planning on spending a few hundred dollars on a bottle of scotch that I'd been eyeing but was also interested in maybe a sample or two. The dude in the whiskey section chose to completely ignore me and focused instead on giving sample after sample to a woman who was obviously on the hunt for the typical trendy collector bourbons that get snapped up by secondary market sellers. I stood there for ten maybe fifteen minutes without even an "I'll be right with you". After selling her on an overpriced bottle of rye from a distillery owned by a silicon valley douche, the sales guy still continued to ignore me. I mean sure, you're busy and she was there first but at least pour me a sample while I wait! Customer service isn't rocket science. Finally, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Bought the Scotch I was looking for at Wine and Beyond for considerably cheaper. I'm all for supporting local but if I'm not treated with respect as a customer, I'll walk and likely not return.

Incredibley unique and noteworthy selection of whisky & whiskey, amongst other spirits and wines. The also put together hands down the best whisky Christmas advent calendar you'll find in the City (and possibly Country).

More than just a wide variety of wine! There's also well stocked craft beer and spirits! Be sure to sign up for their tastings! We went to their fortified wines event and it was very fun and informative! Staff are knowledgable! Ask them about pairings and your desire for the palate and they can help you out swiftly!

5/5 for section of obscure bottles. I get it, great reviews because they have a good selection, and you can build a relationship in a cool community with a store like this. But seriously, the prices are no where near competitive…not even close. I've gone through their BlackFriday/Xmas sales, and their once a year spring clear out…and many of their sale prices are more than many of the other stores regular sale prices. Zyn is tough to beat…or I can price match anything at Wine and Beyond, or BSW rare bottle sales, or Rocky Mountain Spirits. Seriously, I JUST bought a double Oaked Woodford Reserve for $65…$85 ON SALE here. Please note, I have zero experience on wine…this is strictly bourbon, Scotch, and other whiskeys. 3 stars because if price is not important to you, this is a great friendly, local vibe store

Excellent selection, many items that they are the only carrier for in Canada!! Really friendly and helpful staff who are very knowledgeable. Depending on the item, they even offer tastings so you can find the perfect gift or beverage to enjoy. I always leave here with something absolutely outstanding.
