I am a 63 year grandmother who had my 16 year grandson with me. They refused to sell wine to me. I asked why and they said they could not sell to me if he was underage. I asked my grandson to go and wait in the car and was told they would still not sell to me as he had been there. I said I come here all the time with him and he said he didn't know me. I am confused as I have been to your store Multiple times over many years and spend a significant amount of money and never experienced this. I told him I wouldn't argue but this is my last trip to any Sobeys liquor store. I did Google Canadian information and it does not state this, only that they can't handle liquor. I was using his scene card but he did not indicate an issue. If this is law please forward.

I don't drink very often, 1 -3 times a month, but shop there faithfully. It's so close to home, and the parking is separated from the main store.

The employee who assisted me was knowledgeable and answered all my questions for a first timer and gave me a few recommendation. It is nice to walk in to place and not feel silly

Great selection of local Edmonton, Alberta, Canadian beers! Also great selection of good American beers (west coast)! They even had Nova 7 when I was looking for it at Christmas (wine and beyond didn’t). Staff always are friendly and super helpful! Big thumbs up! Manager seems to really have a passion!
