They've got lots of booze and interesting tastings BUT, and it's a big BUT, they're not wheelchair accessible and it's actually hazardous to anyone who might want to spend their money at this business. I've smashed my hands and knees when the hydraulic door closer slammed my fingers shut into the door jamb, had to go to VGH for stitches on one occasion. That also happened to another one of their customers, a lady who was just trying to help me out. I felt awful for her because all these injuries can be easily eliminated by putting in push-to-open buttons just as the competition has. I've appealed to mgmt about 20 times but no push-to-open buttons have been installed.... Kitsilano Liquor store on Broadway has made the effort to open their doors to people with disabilities and of course the BC liquor store has automatically opening doors... but this Burrard ownership has not even attempted to make their business inclusive to people with mobility challenges. My family and I will never be able to justify giving Burrard Liquor Store our business. Here's a note for the owner; if you install push buttons you will definitely make your investment back in short order and everything beyond that becomes profit. Plus you'll be acting in good faith as a good and decent corporate neighbor. People notice that type of thing and word travels quickly in our little corner of the city. Kitsilano has an older demographic and this will only increase as time marches on. It makes good business sense to adapt your store to be inclusive to people with mobility challenges and associated problems. Let's see if this ownership wants to have a heart... and make more money at the same time. I kindly suggest that the owner/owners adapt in order to not be left behind in the market.

Awesome liquor store! The employees are great and they are always in a good mood. :) Once we had a chance to take part in a wine tasting. The wines were great for a very friendly price. They have occasional good offers, too.

Prices are very high and marked up, and the service isn’t great either in the times I’ve had to go. Recommend BC liquor or any nearby community store instead.

This Liquor Store provides the services that are missing from any BC Liquor. Their staff are very friendly and informed, always ready to help, and have a great mix of staff picks. The store has a wide selection of cold drinks, and they specialise in supporting the local breweries. With better hours and free parking out back, it’s an easy choice to head here or get my drinks delivered.
