Petty surprised to see the rating for this liquor store. We really love the beer selection there. They stock Storm Brewing. Staff have been fine when we have shopped there as well.

Beervana! Chris is killing it. I've chatted with him a few times. He is very knowledgeable about beer and the craft scene. He is also bringing in some of my favourite beers from Portland as well as a nice selection of fresh hop beers on the way. In addition, I've been buying wine from here for a while. The selection is good and there are even a few bottles available by the glass up front, though I've never tried them.

EDIT: after I finished my review I read through several others, and apparently my experience is very far from unique. Anyone doubting me should take a look. a lot of people are trying to tell you the same thing. Right now the average rating stands at 2.9 - how is that even possible for a liquor store? I wish so badly I could give zero stars! Spent a sunny Saturday (July 24) biking around Vancouver, last stop of the day was to pick up some drinks. Realized I was cutting it close and raced 20 or so blocks to the one store I knew for sure was open until 11, got there at 10:56 only to find the door locked. Lights were still on, and the cashier was sitting at his computer. I gently tapped on the door (I knew what I wanted and would have been less than a minute), he turned around and gave me the "slicing throat" gesture - I assume to tell me he was closed and not to kill me. I tapped on my watch to remind him it was not yet 11, at which point he just shrugged and turned his back to me again. If I had known he'd decide to just close early on a Saturday, there were other choices I could have made, but as it was now after 11 everything else was closed. Not that I expect all that much from a liquor store, but I think this counts as my rudest encounter at one to date. I certainly won't be back, and I encourage everyone else to avoid it too, there are lots of other choices in the area. I only wonder if this guy actually owns the store, or if he's closing early behind his owner's back.

UPDATE: I see several people have had bad experiences here. I feel I should make it super clear thar in the many times I have shopped here, I have always been treated courteously and professionally and received knowledgeable advice when I have asked for it. Previous comments... We call this the "Rogers Video Liquor Store" because, back when it y was possible to rent videos from Rogers... Aaaaaaaaaanyway now it is a space much more interesting and useful - with a great selection of wine, beer, cider (including some awesome BC products) and a few "other things". Nice friendly helpful professional people, knowledgeable, patient. In general quite awesome. Go there, check it out, be well served and satisfied.

There are far better private liquor stores nearby with much more knowledgeable and friendly staff. Every time i come here it feels like half the shelves are empty and they are "reorganizing". It's been over a year and nothing looks different. I will happily shop elsewhere
