Derogatory remarks from staff regarding our large Rusdian community in the area. It's extremely unprofessional for this behavior and commentary coming from the staff or owner. Thus community is small and word will get around and it will hurt as retail relies on patronage. I for one will never support this store again. I will make sure all my family and friends are aware of their horrible comments and thoughts... SHAME ON YOU BUBBLEES.... SHAMEFUL

Russian. I am a Doukabour, and as many of you know, Doukabour’s are of Russian descent. Today as I was paying for a purchase at Bubblees Liquor store I asked about a specific brand of vodka, and during small talk, I mentioned I was of Russian descent. After I paid and left the store two customers engaged with me outside in the parking lot. These two men told me they were disgusted with the staff in the store who made rude and disparaging comments after I exited. I was told they called me a “commie” as well as other comments and they felt I should know what had transpired. One of the men was especially angered as he is married to a Russian woman. I returned to the counter and, with no customers in the store, I politely said what the other customers told me and how I felt. Being in a small town with an established multigenerational Russian community I feel this was unacceptable and it’s these types of actions that continue to cause division in an already tumultuous society. I got a couple of nods and eye rolls before I turned and started to exit when the lady behind the counter sarcastically laughed out loud. I asked her if she felt that type of behaviour towards a customer was necessary and, after stomping around to the front of the counter to confront me, she told me this is a free country and she shouldn’t have to listen to or serve Russians like me, with emphasis on “Russians”. With my patience exhausted I berated her lack of human empathy and customer service skills, she said someone “like me” isn’t welcome and to get out of her store. I complied after I vehemently hurled a choice vulgar word at her, not my proudest moment. Not exactly the establishment I wanna spend my money in, this didn't happen to me but it did happen to someone I do know just thought it should be shared Dealing with the public in a retail environment is stressful, I get it, but I was genuinely astonished at both the xenophobia and provocation. Canada is a country with free choice of which retail store you choose to support with your hard earned dollars. I, for one, know of a specific shop that I will no longer support.

Went here often when I was in town but after finding out about the racism going on here I will not be returning. The comments made towards a local Doukabor man were not acceptable and I am quite disgusted. Please do not support this business and behaviour.

Personally my favorite place in town to go!! Staff that works there are usually happy & friendly & helpful ever time I go in there! They know what I like & will usually bring in something particular if you talk to them. Always leave there laughing & happy & what I came for in hand!

Great selection of beers. Lots of different single cans so you can try a variety. Better than going to the government store.
