Was once a really great store, but not anymore since the otter took over. Looks trashy from the curb to the door, not much better once you get inside. They raised prices and ditched the cheap 6 packs I used to rely on. Seems to have replaced all the super cool indigenous staff I had gotten to know over the years with clueless Irish kids that have nothing to offer in terms of recommendations. What happened? Going the extra distance to Darby's now. Can only hope these guys get it back to how it was.

The staff that use to be there before was awesome great friendly welcoming. Now that u have a bunch of kids with no manners always grumpy and does not even clean around the store inside nor outside lots of rubbish always at the front of the store . Ian who is the new store manager needs to go back and learn customer service and what it is to run a good store cause from what I see it’s going downhill. All the good people are quitting because they are underpaid and not treated fairly. If u looking for bad service just go there……. I have cease from going there inspite I am always around there I rather go some place else…. FIX THIS STORE PERIOD ……………..

Great staff. They run out of Sprite all the time. We wait 2 weeks for Sprite but lots of coke and ginger ale. What? Staff have no control over inventory. Manager is stunned! Today they put the rum I drink on sale! BUT THERE IS NONE IN STOCK!! Now I'm an ANGRY OTTER. How can a business run like that?

Fair selection, good prices & nice staff. Open till 10 is a bonus.

TLDR: new management, just go to the BCL at 4th and Alma. I’ve been coming here for years as I live very close by but ever since they changed from the liquor depot to the angry otter, it’s gone downhill. The employee who hangs around smoking outside is always unwelcoming and blowing smoke around people walking by, the selection is limited now, hours are reduced, stock is missing, my longtime favourite staff are no longer working there.
