One of the best liquor stores in the Twin Cities! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - talk to Amanda and LEARN something! Samples are totally a thing, which is kinda mind blowing when you consider that includes spirits.

We used to frequent this store for their worldwide and I must say very impressive selection of drinks. Unfortunately their staff members don’t seem to welcome strangers in their store, in stark contrast to their inventory. I have experienced severe and unjustified profiling based on skin or accent, or whatever else the reason was. This is unacceptable for any establishment in Minneapolis, yet for South Lyndale Liquors it is a total shame!! If you are not a white american and don’t want to be mistreated, do not enter this store.

Great selection of beer, wine, and liquor. We were impressed by the selection of Chicago based brews available (such as Mikerphone, Phase Three, Noon Whistle, Off Color). Only con was some of the staff were a little abrasive.

What a wonderful place and experience I had. I recently moved up from FL and had to restock my bar. They have great inventory of liquors, the rum section can go toe-to-toe with just about any liquor store in FL and that’s saying a lot since we’re up north in the frozen tundra. Far superior than total wine etc. even the prices were great which isn’t always the case for independent shops. The staff was also very helpful and very knowledgeable, Amanda was super helpful and did not mind answering all my questions and helping me locate certain bottlings. She truely seemed like she enjoyed her job and didn’t try to up sale me one certain offerings or styles I did not want/need. 10/10 experience and definitely now my go-to store, even with the 30 minute drive from my house.

This has been our go-to liquor store for some time. Great staff, great selection and love that our dog can join in on our liquor store trips too. I’m glad that there’s a local liquor store we can go to in the neighborhood!
