Magnificent flavors! I got this at first just because the bottle was beautiful and I loved the cork top but it is so good it’s now my absolute favorite whiskey. I found out after that it’s surprisingly made right here in Utah and to me that’s absolutely awesome. Thank you robbers roost for such a quality product. I am now a lifetime fan.

This place is incredible. I was blown away! So cool this is happening in SLC, it’s the sort of thing I’d expect to see in SF or Seattle. The best distillery experience I’ve ever had. Expect to taste really unique botanically infused liquors/amaros/tonics. I wish the best for this project and business!

Alan did a fantastic job with this tour. I’ve been on a couple of distillery tours, but this was by far the most informative. Alan was clearly knowledgeable and deeply passionate about his craft (each bottle has a batch number indicating how “micro” this distillery can be). Alan knows everything about spirits — we talked science, monks, and the difference between ground cinnamon and real cinnamon. My family and I had a great time learning about the history of spirits and about how aromatics are used to make the unique flavors at Waterpocket. I highly recommend the drive over to check it out.

Decided to randomly stop by because I was near by. The only experience I've had with this distillery is the light whiskey. Really glad I did! Allen was absolutely fantastic to chat with about all the different spirit options. I've never met someone so passionate about everything they sold, and he had every right to be. The gin is so fragrant, refreshing and 'soft'. The new anejo rum is a beautiful mixture where you are first hit with the anejor flavor profile and the rum follows behind. I strongly recommend signing up for a tour online and just experiencing what Waterpocket has to offer.

First, the liquor here is good. Really, really, good. They have very good classics but more importantly, they have unique antique recipes that will blow the mind of anyone who enjoys a good spirit or liquor. However, that isn’t the only reason to come here. We dropped in and met the owners and they are passionate and ultra-knowledgeable about their craft while being so hospitable. Everything about our visit and tasting was enjoyable and completely unrushed — like we were the only people in the world to test the boozy treats put before us. Reservations for testing and tours are recommended and can be made online or over the phone. It’s totally worth it to support this fantastic local business.
