Forty Creek is an awesome spot to stop if you are looking to purchase, or sample some pretty nice Canadian whiskeys. Brewed right on premises, they have a nice selection from their popular Double Barrel Reserve to their Confederation Oak, and many unique varieties in between. There is something for any whiskey connoisseur. There were specialty items such as their maple flavored whiskey that reminded me of liquid pancakes. Their cream was smooth and delicious as well. Samples were at no charge, but we would have been remiss not not leave a nice tip as the staff was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting space has gone though some recent renovations and is clean and relaxing. There is a special tasting room available if you book in advance (best for larger groups). There was outdoor seating and a gift shop as well. Restrooms are also on premises. The location is conveniently located just off the QEW in Grimsby, We were in town for a hockey tournament right around the corner and this made for a great stop with the team, in between games. Quite a few bottles left with us to enjoy at home as their products and selections were worth of their purchase price! RECOMMENDATION:. We did not have time, but heard the tour of the facility is well worth it and very informative. We will definitely do this the next time we are in town.

Scheduled a tasting on our way to the AL Reid Memorial Hockey Tournament. Taylor helped us out. She was very knowledgeable about the different choices and offered suggestions on drink recipes and pairings. Recommend you schedule your tasting. They take their time with each customer. We didn't go at peak time and were late, but they were awesome.

After visits to many local wineries and breweries, we finally made it to Forty Creek. They have a spacious tasting room where we sampled several different whiskies and liqueurs. I was quite taken with "Oh Canada" which is a maple syrup flavoured liqueur. It was so good I just had to bring home a bottle. It is great on its own and just as delicious with ginger ale added. My partner enjoyed the Original Cream and a bottle of that made its way home as well. We'll be back soon to try more whiskey. Whether you are already a fan of whiskey or just curious head to Forty Creek for a tasting.

Arrived a bit early for our booking ( so did some shopping). Staff very unpleasant and took walk-ins instead of allowing us to go. Then proceeded to take longer with the walk-ins which put us later and then we had no seating( which i think if i had the forsite to book in advance I should get .) And then when questioned to b downright rude. I emailed concern to which I got the response of seating is not guaranteed. Not an apology. This was part of my daughters 21st birthday tour. We will not return
