review date: november 26, 2021 customer service: ongoing since 2015 the beer store @ dundurn is a tiny, in-and-out adult beverage store. no drive-thru, has limited parking, and comes with some polite and miserable staff. there is one older female, very short in height, in particular whom i'd say is allergic to the public. very miserable and does a great job picking and choosing who she chooses to be polite with. since i cannot drink beer anymore due to health issues, i make sure to return my empties elsewhere, and in the event i need to buy beer for a friend, i do the same. bottom line: i would not use the beer store at dundurn and would not recommend it to others.

Hello readers For those that may not know, in Ontario The Beer Store is monopoly owned by the 3 largest brewers ...so there is zero competition ( some select grocery stores carry a few brands of beer) therefore it is really difficult to review The Beer Store. If you want Beer you have no choice but to go to the Beer Store. The liquor store which is a government monopoly that sells wines and spirits in Ontario does carry a few beer brands. The best selection is at The Beer Store. With that being said...I needed to buy a case of beer for a friend's birthday, he turning 50 so I bought him a case of Labatt 50 ...the first store I went to was sold out of 50. I was directed to another store that had what I wanted ...phew . Both stores were reasonably modern with polite efficient staff, the stores were clean and well staffed. The Beer Store app information was not the same info as the online store and product locator ...not sure why ... both are reasonable digital search engine for beer availability and beer store locations. Until we meet again ... Adios

Always closed early. The law says you must be open til 11, 7 days a week. But they want us to save their jobs? Now I have to drive to Walmart to get beer after 5 on a Sunday, thanks. No respect for those who work late shifts. Not bike friendly either. I am not locking my bike to a rack to get stolen, bud. If you can not support green solutions, stop patting yourself on the back for being the “first green business” on account of the returns. Hypocrisy. I can hardly wait until this entire franchise folds.

I live on the mountain in Hamilton but I always go to the store on Dundurn, the staff is great and the manager is awesome. Today I had an issue, she heard about it and fixed it right on the spot. I forget her name but she's the pretty blonde lady. I know why her staff is so good. It's because of her! Thanks so much for helping me today and (since I'm disabled) always helping without complaint! Great job folks, I wish all stores were run by this lady!!

I make a few extra bucks every week collecting empties but I wouldn't recommend it as a job to others or you'll be working for about 3 bucks an hour. Like I'm on Disability so for me anything helps but you could never make a living off of this sort of work.
