This distillery and the family that operates it is simply fantastic. My wife and i had a little time to kill so we stopped by for a tour... and we can't wait to travel through Opelika again so we can visit some more. The distilled spirits are superb!!! We really didn't try anything that wasn't 'Top Shelf', and their prices for the quality can't be beat!!! Believe we are now hooked on John Emerald Spirits!!! Mixed drinks are great, as is straight out of the bottle. Highly recommend you stop by if ever given the opportunity. You will not be disappointed!!!

We love John Emerald!! The staff is always great and drinks are delicious. The variety of drinks is a plus. Prices are very reasonable. This is our new go to place for drinks!

Six dollars for 3 half oz shots insane. Offered nothing else for the palet. You did get some water. Tours were not open due to short on staff. Didn't care for the whiskey. Waitress did know her history & the spirits. It was very inviting but she never told us her name. There were tables outside for social distancing. Overall experience was fine but will not go there again.

Great customer service. The bartender was awesome. You can do a tasting of three of their spirits for $6. My husband bought bottles of two of the three he tasted. We got a shot glass, t-shirt and stickers too.
