A decent sized store in the heart of Hollywood that one of the best selections of not the best selections of wine, spirits, and beer. The staff is always friendly/ helpful and among the most knowledgeable folks I have ever encountered. This review is past due since I've been a regular customer for at least 7 years now and I have to say it's prob my favorite adult beverage retailer of all time (at least top 3). I've gotten so many great bottles whiskey here and I often go through my purchase history to reminisce. I've gotten great bottles/ cans of beer here as well.

Always love this place but they went above and beyond today. Had a gift bottle and recipient was with me at pickup. I asked on chat if they could bag it up. I arrived and they had put it in a gift bag for free and had it ready to go. Really excellent service as always!!

Top wine shop in LA (spirits and beers as well). Great selection and place to browse. Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. Check for their tasting schedule. They also ship and take consignments for their wine auction site.

Look, I'm not an alcoholic, but I do drink most days and would maybe describe drinking (or more nicely, "cocktails") as a top three hobby. This has certainly been the case for the past year and a half, when we've spent so much time at home, with all of our evenings free but housebound once the baby has gone to bed. K & L has emerged as a serious contender for MVP in this era of our lives.

I really enjoy shopping at K&L - Hollywood Store is closest to me (There are three stores in total also including Redwood City and San Francisco). They have a superb selection of spirits, especially whisk(e)y including many IB's that are unique and more difficult to find. They also source their own exclusive casks for bottling. Hit and miss with some of these bottlings but I have found some real gems at a fraction of the price generally commanded by the distillery releases. They have an almost cult-like online following supported by a Spirits Journal that gives you industry perspectives, product reviews and insights on how different spirits are made and enjoyed. While I generally purchase spirits here, I occasionally pick up wines for which they also have an immense selection and very knowledgeable staff. Keep up the good work K&L!
